"Home prices rose last year in Oklahoma as the state bucked the national trend of falling prices" as stated by Richard Mize / Real Estate editor. Not a surprise to people following the housing in Oklahoma and markets throughout the rest of the country. This maybe a surprise to the bombardment by the media of the national averages that show home prices declining in certain major markets. "NOT SO in Oklahoma thanks to the resurrected energy industry and a relatively healthy economy in general" says Mize. A mutimedia campaign recently released by The Greater Tulsa Assoc. of Realtors is dubbed "Good Thing Your in Tulsa" to get the message out. The 2007 average sales price for existing homes rose 4.24% compared with 2006, from $143,669 to $149,758, now that's great news for all of us in Oklahoma !
